Peggy McRae is recipient of the 2016 OMNE Nursing Leadership Award

Peggy leads a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and is a positive role model with a strong trusted scope of influence. She is respected for her clinical expertise and routinely steps up to cover for other leaders. As a leader she guides with intent to assist others in growing and working together for optimal patient outcomes using evidence based practice.

Consistent with the mission of OMNE, Peggy is known for promoting sound health care policies within our organizations and at the state, local and national level. Her dedication to the health of our communities is evidenced by her active participation as a board member of New Beginnings, and the Red Cross, secretary for OMNE Maine, facilitation of heart attack and stroke awareness, instructor for BLS, ACLS, and dedication to primary & secondary cardiovascular prevention.

OMNE is proud to award the 2016 Nursing Leadership Award to Peggy McRae on June 23rd at the MHA Summer Forum in Rockport.
