The OMNE/ANA Maine annual meeting was held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Freeport on 9/28/17 & 9/29/17.
This is the 10th year OMNE has sponsored an annual meeting and the 3rd year in collaboration with ANA Maine.
Over 100 nurses and nursing students from all over the state were in attendance.
All the speakers were residents of Maine which really showcased the leadership talent we have in the state.
The conference kicked off with Dr. Dora Mills as the Keynote speaker presenting on Interprofessional Education and ended with Rhonda Selvin discussing the importance of Mindful Medicine.
Many of the other presentations over the course of the two days reinforced the theme of the conference- Nurses: Leading the Redesign of Care Delivery in Maine. See the 2017 Annual Meeting Presentations here.
The annual dinner was held on the evening of the 28th and provided the venue to distribute ANA Maine two nursing awards; The Agnes E. Flaherty Leadership award and the Sister Consuela White spirit of nursing award.
OMNE also gave out their Emerging Nurse Leader Award.
